- Exactly. Prior to being on Twitter, I was what some people would call a "forum junkie." Even now, most of my friends online are Mitsubishi guys. I spend more time talking to people...
- I totally agree with you here Brian (and sorry for the late comment). Whilst some may view Twitter as meaningless engagement in a sort of "Facebook-y" type way, I think it extends to a...

The focus of DR1665.com is to detail my journey from rally car fan to rally car driver. Considering my budget these days is probably less than Ken Block spends on tires for a single event, it’s likely that it’s going to be a long journey. Three years in and the car is only [...

For my sites, I use the awesome TwitterTools plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitter-tools/). There's quite a few Twitter plugins out there, but this one is just simple (and I think you already use it? maybe I'm wrong and misunderstood your point) and effective. I love love LOVE the extensibility of WordPress and wish I hadn't wasted so much time with Joomla now, but oh well.
Overall I totally dig the posts and it's neat to read about the progress of various points of your life, both personal and rally-esque. So as long as you continue posting it's great!

And hey, if you've got a site.. might as well use it. :) Besides, if Tarmac and Gravel becomes a money-making enterprise, you can actually work on 195 and call it a "project car" for the site and BAM... tax write-off.

I'm giving very serious thought to moving all the Galant content from DR1665.com to tarmac-and-gravel and then using this site as more of a general, what's-important-to-me blog. Moving the Galant makes sense, but it's a question of whether or not I have enough material to keep both sites moving. (And do I really want to be a textbook blogger?) Then again, there's the question of when am I actually going to have the time to make the switch. I returned to work this past Tuesday and I don't suspect I'll have a full day off until Thanksgiving day. Bogus.
Appreciate the idea, though. This could be the next evolution of the site. Time will tell.
